FAISALABAD: Leader of the Opposition in Punjab Assembly Raja Riaz Ahmad said that PPP-led government would fulfill its commitment for establishing Saraiki province.

Talking to APP here on Sunday, Raja Riaz said that resolution for the restoration of province of Bahawalpur has been fomented to sabotage demand of the Saraiki province.

He said that PPP would clean sweep in the next general elections and form governments at federal and provincial levels.

He said that PPP is a popular political party having roots in all provinces.

To a question he said, PML-N has no stake in southern Punjab and hence it tried to delay the demand of separate province.

He said that Saraiki province would be consisting of three divisions including Multan, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan. He further said that Nawaz Sharif and his party has failed to deliver and all movements initiated by Nawaz Sharif ended into ashes as it has lost peoples support.

He extended full support to the Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and said that he is duly elected Prime Minister who is enjoying full confidence and support of 180 million people of Pakistan.

He criticised to the Punjab government and said that lofty slogans of good governance have failed and lawlessness has forced people to commit suicides.

He said that such circumstances could not be tolerated and Shahbaz Sharif will have to face defeat in the Punjab province and PPP will form next government in Punjab.
