The first phase of local bodies' elections in Punjab would be held after Eid, said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President of Central Punjab, Ejaz Chaudhry.
He said some legal complications on part of the Election Commission had led to a delay in the holding of local bodies' elections.
Meanwhile, the performance reports of party representatives were being compiled at the level of districts, tehsil, cities and municipal committees in order to finalize the candidates.
Warnings would be issued to those showing poor performance. The performance report would be revised after every fortnight and the party workers had been directed to speed up public welfare projects in their respective constituencies, said Ejaz Chaudhry.
