The Accountability Court hearing fake accounts cases on Thursday issued another summon to a property tycoon to appear before it on March 2nd in a reference. The Accountability Court Judge, Muhammad Bashir, while hearing the case issued another notice of to him after the court was informed that the accused did not appear.
The court also told that another accused Ghulam Arif was presently in Canada. The judge ordered to ensure presence of all accused on the next hearing to be held on March 2nd. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on January 15 filed the reference in the Accountability Court.
The bureau has nominated 12 accused including Zain Malik, director M/s Galaxy Construction (Pvt) Ltd, Liaquat Qaimkhani, former director general (Parks), Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), former Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Senator Yousaf Baloch, Dr Dinshaw Anklesaria, director M/s Galaxy Construction (Pvt) Ltd, Waqas Riffat, director of M/s Galaxy Construction (Pvt) Ltd, Gulam Arif, senior director (Estate) KMC, Khawaja Shafiq Ahmed, former secretary housing, Abdul Subhan Memon, former secretary Land Utilization, Jamil Ahmed Baloch assistant director Land Acquisition Cell, Khurram Arif Ali Rizvi, former director Land Management KDA, and Abdul Karim Paliju, former additional director KDA.
