After appointment of MD/CEO OGDCL for three years by the Cabinet, Shahid Salim Khan has assumed the charge as permanent MD/CEO of OGDCL, here in Islamabad. Shahid Salim Khan is a petroleum engineer by profession having MS in Petroleum Engineering from University of Southern California, USA.
He has more than 36 years of diversified hands on experience in various disciplines of E&P including HSE, Petroleum Engineering, Drilling, Production Operation, community relations & community development. Khan has worked in different capacities with Kuwait Petroleum Exploration Company, Mari Petroleum Company, ENI Pakistan Limited (An Italian Company), LASMO Oil Pakistan (London & Scottish Oil Company) & also Oil & Gas Development Company Ltd.
Besides having engineering & managerial skills, he has also contributed in other Oil & Gas industry forums like Pakistan Petroleum Exploration and Production companies association (PPEPCA) in capacity of Senior Vice Chairman, Society of Petroleum Engineer (SPE) in various capacities including Chairman Pakistan Chapter and Chairman Annual Technical Conference that is jointly organized by SPE PAPG annually.-PR
