Met Office has predicted that the mercury may drop to 2 degree Celsius next week, saying that the foggy weather would continue for next two weeks. It may be noted that the fog and chilled weather has already gripped the city and cold weather has been intensified with the start of chilled waves.
According to Met Office, cold weather would keep gripping the city as well as the province of Punjab and travelling on the intra-city roads would be a challenge for the commuters. The western waves have turned to the city that has added the cold affect of weather. It may be noted that mercury had already reduced to single digit in the city and dropped to four degree Celsius a day earlier. There is no immediate chance of rain in the city.
