Newly appointed Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue, Regional Tax Office (RTO), Sardar Ali Khwaja assumed charge of his office, said a press release issued here on Thursday.
Soon after assuming charge, the Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue (IR) inspected different sections of RTO and interacted with tax officers and ministerial staff.
Talking on the occasion, he directed tax officers and other staffers for utilisation of all capabilities for the achievement of the revenue target. For that purpose, he stressed need for the cooperation of both business community and taxpayers.
He said tax collection and economy were inter-related and the strengthening of economy required maximum collection of tax.
He urged the officers of RTO Peshawar to go forward with hard work, dedication and team work and play their due role in bringing improvement in national economy. He pledged adherence to merit and transparency in the region.
