Ukraine's 2019/20 white sugar output at 1.26mn T so far

• White sugar production is expected to fall by a third to between 1.1 million and 1.2 million tonnes.

KIEV: Ukraine has produced around 1.26 million tonnes of white sugar this year from 8.4 million tonnes of sugar beet, exceeding expectations, the Ukrtsukor union said on Friday.

White sugar production is expected to fall by a third to between 1.1 million and 1.2 million tonnes this year because of a smaller sowing area, the union said.
