Five shot dead, four injured in firing

BATAGRAM: Five people were shot dead and four injured on Saturday when their companion opened indiscirimative fire on them in the mosque at Bana Alai.

According to SHO Pervaiz of police station Bana Alai, the deceased were identified as Haider Ali, Sambar Ali, Jahangir Khan, Ahmed Ullah and Fazul Rehman. Injured were identified as Israr Ahmed, Shahban Khan, Wali Rehman and Sharbaz. They were shifted to district Batagram hospital for treatment.

Police handed over the bodies to betrayed families after autopsy.

Police arrested the accused and further investigation is underway.
