PESHAWAR: The ambassador of European Union (EU) along with a delegation will visit Swat on April 18-19 to see historical sites of the ancient civilization of the valley.
Department of Museum, Sports and Archeology Khyber Pakhtunkhwa spokesman said the government has planned a number of programmes depicting the rich and ancient heritage of Swat valley. It include lecture on rich cultural heritage of Swat that would be held at local hotel to appraise the delegation about the old grandure of Udyana and Gandara civilizations.
Faiz ur Rehman, curator Swat Museum will be focal person to inform and show protected Archaeological sites around Mingora city including Butkhara-I, Siadu Stupa, Shankardar Stupa to the dignitaries.
Moreover, Syed Aqil Shah, Minister for Sports, Tourism, Youth Affairs, Archaeology and Museums along with Syed Jamaludin, Secretary Sports, Tourism, Youth Affairs, Archaeology and Museums KP would welcome the delegation.
