BAHAWALPUR: A total of 692,000 metric ton wheat will be procured in the division this year.

The divisional Commissioner Muhammad Khan Khichi told APP on Tuesday that some 70 purchase centers had been set up for this purpose.

He told that the distribution of wheat bags would continue till May 31, while wheat procurement would be completed by June 7.

He urged the concerned officials to cooperate with farmers in order to make the procurement process smooth and transparent.
