Maryam meeting with Khaqan: AC seeks reply from jail authorities

The Accountability Court hearing the liquefied natural gas (LNG) case against former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Thursday sought reply from the jail authorities on a petition filed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Marriyam Aurangzeb, seeking permission to meet Abbasi in the jail. Marriyam requested the Accountability Court to allow her to meet with Abbasi as jail authorities had not allowed her to meet him.

She said that she met him during the custody of NAB following the court order. The judge while addressing Marriyam asked what if Abbasi does not want to meet her. She replied," Sir if you give permission then we will entreat him." The court sought reply from the jail authorities on Marriyam's petition.
