As dog-bite incidents are increasingly taking place in the metropolis, Karachi Mayor Wasim Akhtar on Wednesday said that anti-rabies medicines and vaccines have been provided to three KMC-run hospitals.
"Vaccines have been delivered to three hospitals - Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, Landhi Medical Complex and Sarfraz Rafiquee Shaheed Hospital - and anyone affected by dog-bite could now contact for vaccine," the mayor announced while talking to the media after lying floral wreath on the grave of Quaid-e-Millat Liaquat Ali Khan and offering Fateha on his 68th death anniversary on behalf of citizens of Karachi.
To a query, he said the KMC was fully cooperating with Sindh Chief Minister for cleanliness drive, however, he urged the permanent solution to garbage disposal.
He said the nation suffered with huge loss due to assassination of Quaid-e-Millat Liaquat Ali Khan. The country would have been much developed if he had not been assassinated.
