Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid said on Saturday that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman has been driven into a corner as no consensus has been achieved between him and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shahbaz Sharif so far.

He was addressing the press conference in Lahore and claimed that PML-N supremo had been shifted to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) headquarters for improved [secret] communication with other politicians [for designing next course of action] amid JUI-F's call for anti-government agitation. Rashid termed the months of October, November and December "important" concerning political unrest in the country.

"On Oct 26, I will uncover Fazlur Rehman's agenda -screams will be heard of those who have been talking of [fresh] elections," the minister said. "Maryam Nawaz has played a critical role in trapping Nawaz Sharif - now we shall see what Hussain Nawaz has to do."

He further revealed that six people have been asking for an NRO from Prime Minister Imran Khan and four of them have been arrested. "Other two will soon be arrested- one of those two belongs to Fazlur Rehman's party," he claimed. "PM Imran Khan has saved the country from getting defaulted."

Regarding Pakistan's ongoing intense dispute with India over Kashmir, particularly after Modi regime abrogated Articles 370 and 35A of the Indian Constitution, the minister affirmed that PM Khan has pushed Indian PM Narendra Modi into a blocked street.

"China has stated it clearly that the Kashmir dispute should be resolved in accordance with United Nations Security Council's resolutions," he said, adding Pakistan doesn't long for a war with India but if it happens "it would be the last war."

"Pakistan's nation firmly stands by Kashmir's side. People will take to streets as soon as the curfew is lifted-Modi can't escape from the consequences of [what he has done]," he concluded.
