Government of Sindh has signed an MoU with Aman Healthcare Services (AHCS) for sponsorship of Sindh Rescue and Medical Service (SRMS). This only-of-its-kind lifesaving emergency medical service will continue to be operated by Aman Health Care Services under its best-in-class international standards.

Previously, Aman ambulances were re-branded and launched as Sindh Rescue & Medical Services (SRMS) in June 2019 by Health Minister Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho. This development was brought about as a fulfillment of Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah's earlier promise made on the floor of the Sindh Assembly on September 30, 2018.

Minister for Health and Population, government of Sindh Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho said, "Sindh Government is committed to providing the best healthcare facilities to people of Sindh. This partnership is in line with our vision to uplift the rescue and emergency medical services in Karachi."

"We are looking forward to expanding the fleet size to cater to Karachi's 20 million plus population," she said, adding that a similar project, Sindh Peoples Ambulance Service, is already being run successfully AHCS in the Thatta and Sujawal districts for the last three years.

Shazina Masud, CEO Aman Health Care Services, said, "We are grateful to the Government of Sindh for putting their trust in Aman Health Care Services. We are continuously striving to serve Karachiites and provide emergency services on international standards."

"I would also like to especially commend and congratulate the entire fleet staff of SRMS on this momentous occasion without whose selfless service this life saving work would never have been possible," she added.

SRMS with a current fleet size of 60 lifesaving ambulances, that includes Basic Life Support ambulances that are meant for emergency responses and Advanced Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support ambulances that are equipped with AED machines, cardiac monitors etc., a full complement of emergency medicines and trained paramedics for more critical cases, is a unique and one of its kind service available only in Karachi. These lifesaving ambulances are run on an internationally certified Medical Priority Dispatch System (MPDS).
