LAHORE: Former Ambassador to the United States Hussain Haqqani has written a letter to Research In Motion (RIM) for obtaining black berry data containing communication record of the messages between him and Mansoor Ijaz.
Haqqani's counsel, Zahid Bukhari said talking to media here on Wednesday.
He said that the letter was forwarded through E-mail and a copy would be submitted to the memo commission. "The data would also be submitted before the commission after it was received", he added.
He said the step was taken in accordance with the orders of the commission probing the matter.
He added that Haqqani's lawyer in the Supreme Court Asma Jahangir would return to Pakistan on April 16 and request the court to look into the application filed by Haqqani to have his statement recorded via video link.
