Provision of quality education top priority of govt: Shafqat Mehmood

KARACHI: Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mehmood on Thursday said that the provision of quality education across the country was among the top priorities of the incumbent government.

Addressing the 'The Future Summit' organized by Nutshell and Martin Dow at a local hotel, he said, "We have to focus on the field of artificial intelligence in future in order to ensure human resource development in line with modern requirements," according to a statement.

The minister said that there were hundreds of PhDs scholars who were unemployed which indicates to the fact that something was seriously wrong with the planning.

"We have to align our education with the job market which we are doing at the moment.

"Shafqat Mehmood said that the government was also working to introduce uniform education system and skill development programs in the country.
