ISLAMABAD: Reacting to the US bounty on Hafiz Mohammad Saeed and Hafiz Abdul Rehman Makki, Pakistan on Wednesday sought concrete evidence to proceed legally rather than to be engaging in a public discussion on this issue.
"Pakistan would prefer to receive concrete evidence to proceed legally rather than to be engaging in a public discussion on this issue," Foreign Office Spokesman Abdul Basit said while responding to a question on the issue.
The Spokesman underlined that "in a democratic country like Pakistan, where judiciary is independent, evidence against anyone must withstand judicial scrutiny."
