President condemns Jamrud bomb blast

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday strongly condemned the bomb in the Tehsil Jamrud of Khyber Agency, killing and injuring civilians.

The President in a message expressed deep sorrow over the killing of innocent people and said such incidents could not deter the government's resolve to fight militancy.

He prayed for the departed souls to rest in peace.

A remote control bomb blast on Wednesday targeting a van killed six people and critically wounded three others in Kharkiabad area, five kilometer off main Jamrud bazaar.
