LAHORE: The Lahore High court on Tuesday issued notice for April 17 to Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on a petition challenging recent increase in CNG prices.
Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah issued the notice on a petition filed by All Pakistan CNG Association.
Earlier, the petitioner's counsel submitted that CNG was a local product and government already had imposed many taxes on it.
He contended that recent increase was unjustified and illegal, therefore, directions be issued to declare the increase in CNG prices as null and void.
The court after hearing the arguments issued notice and sought reply from OGRA by April 17.
