KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) Thursday ordered Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) to restore power supply to Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) within 24 hours after payment of the dues.
After preliminary hearing of the suit filed by PSM against disconnection of power supply to the mills, Justice Munib Akhtar also ordered the plaintiff to deposit cheque of outstanding dues with Nazir of the court within three days.
The PSM has moved the court through a suit for Rs 30 million damages against disconnection of power supply to PSM on Tuesday night.
The plaintiff stated that the KESC has violated the rules and agreement between both the organizations by cutting-off power supply, causing loss of millions of rupees per day to the state-owned steel making entity.
