KARACHI: National Bank of Pakistan NBP had Rs 26 billion profit in last fiscal year signifying leadership of financial strategy of its President Qamar Hussain, senior executives together with untiring efforts by its officers and employees.
NBP Trade Union Federation Pakistan members said "we are proud of NBP and credit its success to Bank President and request to share this joy of success with employees in shape of profit bonus.
Elements who, only cared for personal interests and preferred their well being over employees benefit reactivated their deeds. Baseless rumours are being spread and doctored information distributed to defame public financial institution resulting in huge damage to interest of employees."
Trade Unions Federation office bearers said "We on behalf of employees from all over the country condemn scandalous act from certain quarter.
Misinformation will not attract attention of NBP employees again and no satanic designs of bringing NBP President and administration into disrepute will bear fruit if unity prevailed among employees.
We pledge to utilize our energies for NBP progress, stability and warn vested interest to distance out of their hateful anti-employee activities."
