Kuwaiti emir meets UN chief

KUWAIT CITY: Kuwait Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad Al-Sabah held talks on Wednesday with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon on bilateral ties and regional developments, the KUNA news agency reported.

Ban was visiting the Gulf state on his way to Baghdad to attend the Arab summit on Thursday, which will discuss the year-long deadly violence in Syria.

KUNA said the UN chief and the Kuwaiti ruler reviewed also discussed international developments.
