SHANGHAI :Chinese shares were down 0.30 percent Wednesday morning on concerns over declines in corporate earnings, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, lost 6.97 points to 2,340.21.
Investors were concerned over government figures released Tuesday that showed combined profits of China's industrial firms dropped more than 5.0 percent year-on-year in the first two months of this year.
