BEIRUT: The Syrian parliament on Monday urged President Bashar al-Assad to adjourn legislative elections set for May 7, saying that more time was needed to fully implement reforms.
"The parliament in its session today called on the president to consider adjourning the vote to a later date so that more time can be given to fully implement reforms," the state news agency SANA reported.
