Wassan calls for report in Fakhra acid case

KARACHI: Home Minister Sindh Manzoor Hussain Wassan has called for report from Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Police about the facts pertaining to the acid throwing case of Fakhra Younus.

He also directed DIG Manzoor Mughal to submit report based on facts alongwith legal opinion for effectively proceeding the case to provide justice to the acid attack victim, who committed suicide in Italy.

Lawmakers and people from different segments of society have expressed their grief and sorrow over the horrendous incident of suicide after going through the painful experience of acid throwing on her face allegedly by her husband on May 14, 2000.
