KARACHI: Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) cheif Altaf Hussain expressed deep sorrow and grief on the death of acid attack victim Fakhra and demanded that Bilal Khar should be brought to the law on throwing acid on the face of his wife which forced her to commit suicide.
In a statement he said that those cruel people who throw acid on the faces of women should be hanged publicly.
He said that the son of a political figure formPunjabthrew acid on the face of his wife some 12 years ago, and after her death , the criminal does not deserve any relaxation.
He said that the obsolete feudal system has snatched the rights of the women and they are deprived of the right of living.
They are murdered in the name of honour, if they dare to marry at their own will, they meet the same fate, they are even married to the Holy Quran, which is the extreme height of ignorance and illiteracy.
He asked President, Prime Minister and Interior Minister that justice should be dispensed to late Fakhra, who spent 12 years of her life in agony and pain.
