Five-day a week: APTMA thanks minister for increased gas supply

LAHORE: Chairman Federal Task Force on Energy and Group Leader APTMA Gohar Ejaz has called five days a week gas supply a gift for textile industry on the eve of Pakistan Day.

Reacting to government decision of five-days a week gas supply to industry, Gohar expressed his deep gratitude to the federal minister petroleum for his untiring efforts in restoration of gas supply to textile industry.

According to him, Dr Asim has been very compassionate to the textile industry problems, facing complete gas outage since December 27.

Meanwhile, the APTMA members praised Gohar Ejaz and extended him a pat on back for winning the case of textile industry.

Gohar Ejaz has emerged as champion of textile industry, playing the role of savior and not merely a leader of the industry. He has been proactive to resolve industry issues and it is his charismatic leadership that APTMA still relies heavily on him despite the fact that he is the past chairman. However, it was the confidence of the industry in his leadership that his group has made clean sweep in elections. Not only the young industrialists but the elders of the industry are also paying kudos to his role in streamlining industry issues.

Gohar has also paid heavy price, as he went through angioplasty during his tenure as Chairman APTMA. However, he did not lose heart and kept on advocating for the textile industry. APTMA has also taken a fresh look under his leadership and it is leading the industry from the front. President Zardari, Prime Minister Gilani and federal ministers Petroleum, Textile and Commerce have been following his vision in resolving industry problems. It is his leadership quality that Prime Minister appointed him Chairman Federal Task Force on Energy where he has been advocating number of vital suggestions including import of LNG.
