ISLAMABAD: The visiting eight-member Saudi Hajj delegation will hold a consultative session with Hajj Group Organiser Association of Pakistan (HOAP) on Thursday to seek their input for enhancing facilities to the Hujjaj.
The delegation is currently visiting Pakistan for witnessing hajj arrangements in the country. The delegation also wants to seek suggestions from the stakeholders before finalising hajj arrangements.
Saudi delegation Wednesday visited Madina-tul-Hujjaj. Director Hajj Qazi Sami-ur-Rehman briefed the delegation about the working of Madina tul Hujjaj and facilities being provided to the intending pilgrims there.
Speaking on the occasion General Secretary Hajj Organizers Association of Pakistan (HOAP) Sanaullah Khan lauded the arrangements of Saudi government in connection with hajj.
He also appreciated the provision of train facilities for Pakistani hujjaj. He thanked the government for extending cooperation to the HGOs.
Head of delegation Zuhair Abdul Rehman Saqat thanked the minister for religious affairs for extending cooperation. He said various projects are being completed to facilitate the pilgrims.
He said the government should enhance awareness for the hajis. The hajj flights should be planned directly to Madina and Mecca to avoid congestion in Jeddah.
He also appreciated the efforts and facilities being provided by Haj Group Operators (HGOs) to the hujjaj.
It may be mentioned that the Saudi hajj delegation is visiting the country to finalise hajj arrangements. The delegations is led by deputy chairman of Mosassah, Engineer Zuhair Abdul Rehman Saqat. The members of delegation include member of the Executive Council of Mosassah Dr Shekih Muhammad Safi Jamal AL Lail, Mutawif, Fawad Muhammad Amin Katib, Mutawif, Farooq Muhammad Amin Katib, Chairperson of Women wing of Mosassah for ladies, Mrs Fatin Ibrahim Muhammad Hussain, member of the women executive council Gheda Sameer Saqaat, Executive member of women wing of Mosassah, Renard Zuhair Saqat and member of the women wing of Mosassah, Ilham Muhammad Hussain.
