WASHINGTON: The International Monetary Fund approved a new 28 billion euro ($36.7 billion) loan for Greece on Thursday, as part of the European Union's huge new bailout plan for the country.
The IMF said the approval of the four-year loan program allowed the immediate disbursement of 1.65 billion euros to Athens.
