SHANGHAI: Chinese shares were flat in early trade Tuesday as investors weighed up recent data showing Chinese exports have been hit hard by economic woes in Western economies, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, inched up 0.09 percent, or 2.19 points, to 2,437.05.
