No PPP PM to write letter to Swiss authority: Ghulam Bilour

Published Updated

ghulam-ahmed-bilourPESHAWAR: Federal Minister for Railways and ANP leader Ghulam Ahmed Bilour Saturday evening said that no Prime Minister belonging to the PPP would write letter to the Swiss authorities for reopening of cases against his leadership.

Addressing a public meeting in Gulbahar area in his constituency, Bilour said, the demand from Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani for writing a letter to the Swiss Authority was not justified, adding the Supreme Court should also come in action against the dictators for violating the constitution of the country and dismissal of the government elected with two-third majority in the past.

He maintained that Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani spent six years in Jail but never betrayed the party leadership and remained loyal to them till date. Therefore, how could he write the letter against President Asif Ali Zardari.

The issue of writing a letter to the Swiss authority should have been resolved by the court in the previous regimes when there would have been no problem in doing so.

Bilour praised the performance of the ANP for attaining rights for the Khyber Pakhtukhwa from the federal government during last four years. He said renaming the province as KP and making the generation of electricity a provincial subject under 18th amend were achievement of the ANP Government.

The province would not generate electricity from its local sources and would sell it to the industries on cheaper rates which would help enable the industrial sector to stand on its own feet. He maintained that God gifted natural resources like gas and oil have been explored in the province during the government of the ANP in the KP.

On this occasion a leader of PPP(S) Sardar Shaukat Hayat Khan Sadozai along with his family members and well wishers announced to join the ANP.
