CBOT soybeans slide on lack of fresh trade news

CHICAGO: Chicago Board of Trade soybean futures fell on Tuesday on a lack of fresh news about talks to resolve the US trade war with China, traders said.
CBOT May soybeans settled 10-3/4 cents lower at $8.88 per bushel.
Traders are watching for signs of progress in talks between Washington and Beijing because China is the world's largest export market for US soy. However, they want to see specific details about a potential deal after months of negotiations without a resolution.
"Everybody's so tired of trading it right now that they're ignoring it," said Jim Gerlach, president of A/C Trading.
White House adviser Larry Kudlow said on Fox Business that trade talks will continue this week and everything is on the table.
CBOT May soymeal ended down $4.50 at $306.50 per short ton while May soyoil fell 0.09 cent at 28.72 cents per pound.
