NAB independently working, using authorities for streamlining system

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood Thursday said that national accountability bureau (NAB), was working in the country independently.

The NAB was using the authorities without any political pressure for streamlining the system and wiping out the corruption from the society, he said while talking to a private news channel.

Commenting on corruption charges against the former Chief Minister’s son, he said Hamza Shahbaz was involved in the corruption cases.

The Opposition was making hue and cry and that the parties sitting on the opposite benches would continue this practice.

About Prime Minister Imran Khan, he said that the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), leader had clean and neat background.

In replying to a question he said that Shahbaz Sharif’s family had received millions of dollar from abroad.

The minister said that Sharif family had established the companies through this money, adding that they would have to answer to the national accountability bureau of their assets.

He said Hussain Nawaz had also purchased the land with billions of rupees.

The minister said that Hamza Shahbaz was apprehended after the investigation process.
