ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Water Resources, Faisal Vawda on Monday said the government was making efforts to open a number of job opportunities for unemployed youth.
The present government was well aware of the problems of masses and measures to redress them were being taken, he stated while talking to a private news channel.
In reply to a question about expelling media workers, he urged the owners of the media houses to avoid terminating people otherwise they could face shortage of employees in days to come.
The government would fulfill its responsibilities regarding alleviating poverty, he added.
The country was confronted with multiple economic challenges. The economic crisis was created by previous regimes, he said, adding said heavy borrowing of loans taken by the last governments of PPP and PML-N, had opened up a big challenge for the present leadership.
Criticizing the weak policies of the last governments, the minister said the leaders of PPP and PML-N had destroyed the institutions and economy.
To a question, he hoped that system in Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) was being improved, and people would not face any difficulty in paying taxes.
