KARACHI: Sindh rangers on Friday claimed to have arrested most-wanted dacoit gang member during a targeted raid in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of the city.
According to a spokesman of rangers, the paramilitary soldiers conducted a targeted raid in Bux Ali Goth of Gulshan-e-Iqbal area and apprehended the most-wanted dacoit gang member, Muhammad Tariq, involved in looting citizens, committing robberies and other heinous crimes in different parts of the metropolis.
Citing initial investigation, the spokesman said that the arrested criminal had confessed to committing several robberies along with accomplices, Farooq alias Diya, Shakeel and Jamsheed alias Chamkay in Nazimabad, Sacchal Goth, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and other adjacent areas during 2017 to 2019.
The arrested accused was handed over to police for further legal proceedings.
