Increasing pace of Clean and Green Pakistan Movement directed

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Local Government, Elections and Rural Development Department here Thursday issued directives to administrative secretaries and deputy commissioners to increase pace of Clean and Green Pakistan Movement.

In separate letters issued here all the departments of the province, field offices and administrations of entire districts have been informed that plantation over massive area, solid waste management, hygiene health, secured sanitation and provision of clean drinking water are the part and parcels of important goals of Clean and Green Pakistan Movement.

All the district administration also directed to take concrete steps for timely accomplishment of targets while KP Performance Management and Reforms Unit has been tasked with the responsibilities of data collection regarding performance analysis of the movement.

KP Chief Minister Mehmood Khan has directed all to hold functions regarding Clean and Green Pakistan on April 9 at their respective areas with an objective to reaffirm goals of the movement.

Attached departments and field offices have also been informed to cooperate with their respective district administration, the letters stated.
