President for highlighting Pakistan's archeological, historical heritage at international level      

ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi Tuesday said that with the country’s archeology and history spanned over thousands of years, the government and cultural institutions should join hands to highlight this rich heritage at international level.

He was talking to a delegation of the Archeological and Historical Association of Pakistan. Chairman of the Association Dr. Ghazanfar Mehdi led the delegation which comprised Senior Punjab Minister for Planning Hussain Jahania Gardezi and renowed historian Prof. Dr. Riaz Ahmad, a press release issued by the President Media Office here said. The President appreciated work of the association which had organized various international conferences and cultural caravans.

He also lauded the association’s valuable services towards the promotion of Sufism and assured the government’s all possible cooperation.
