CM suspends Controller of Exams, Sukkur Education Board

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Monday taking serious notice of using un-fair means by students in the on-going matriculation examination in Sukkur region has placed the service of Controller of Examination of Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Sukkur Abdul Sami Soomro under suspension.

Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Shah on the directives of chief minister visited different examination centers in Sukkur region and found students were openly resorting unfair means in their matriculation examination at some centres, said a statement.

The education minister reported the chief minister that not only cheating was committed at a few examination centres but there were credible reports that question paper issued by the Sukkur educational board was also leaked at a centre before start of the examination.

The chief minister on the report of education minister has suspended Controller of Examination, Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Sukkur and gave the charge of controller of examination to deputy controller. The notification in this regard has also been issued.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah directed administration of all the educational boards to strengthen their examination system, otherwise similar actions would also be taken against the concerned officers of the educational boards.
