ISLAMABAD: The 3rd meeting of the Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OP&HRD) was held under the Chairmanship of Sheikh Fayyaz Ud Din, MNA.
The Committee unanimously confirmed the minutes of its 2nd meeting held on 12th March, 2019.
The Committee recommended that the improvement may be brought in the facilitation centers, established by the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation at Airports, and also advertised the facilitation centers for the knowledge of Overseas Pakistanis.
The Managing Director informed the Committee that the charter of first Overseas Pakistanis Foundation University has been approved and the University would be established in F-11/2 in 2020.
The Committee appreciated the efforts of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation in education sector.
The Committee was informed that NADRA Swift Centers at all OPF Regional Offices on the pattern of OPF Head Office, Islamabad would be established. Moreover, Passport Office will be established at OPF Head Office Islamabad.
An Overseas Pakistanis Advisory Council has been established to utilize the expertise of Overseas Pakistanis in strategic decision making by placing them as members of public sector institutions/advisory bodies.
Mr. Sajid Khan, Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Khan Dullah, Haji Imtiaz Ahmed Chaudhary, Mr. Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, Ms. Sobia Kamal Khan, Ms. Tashfeen Safdar, Mr. Shahid Ahmed, Syed Javed Hassnain, Ms. Zahra Wadood Fatemi, Syed Abrar Ali Shah, Mr. Muhammad Jamal-ud-Din, MNA’s, and senior officers from the Ministry attended the meeting.
