PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkwa Assembly Friday passed a resolution condemning the annexation of Golan Heights of Syria by Isreal.

Afterwards, KP Assembly passed the resolution moved by Nighat Orakzai condemning the occupation of Golan Heights. Resolution also demanded that matter should be raised on international forums as it would further worsen the situation in the region. KP also passed a resolution moved by Bahadur Khan of ANP demanding authorities to unblock the cards of people residing in PK 16.

Resolution said that thousands of people in Dir are facing hardships due to blockage of their cards. It was demanded that authorities should taken notice of their sufferings and take measures to solve their problems by issuing them cards.

Provincial Minster for Minerals, Dr. Amjad Ali also supported the stance of ANP legislator and that meeting should be held with the concerned department to resolve the issue of blocked cards. Khushdil Khan of ANP, on a point of order said that rules and regulations should be followed while making postings and transfers.

He said that an SDO of communication and works department has been transferred and a junior has been appointed on his post adding these anomalies would serve nothing but would affect performance of the department. Adviser to CM on Industries, Abdul Karim Khan assured the ANP legislator to look into the matter and said that all the postings and transfers would be made following rules and merit.

ANP legislator, Shagufta Malik pointed the absence of government officers in the session and said they should be made bound to attend the assembly proceedings.
