Special Court ordered to decide on recording Musharraf's statement

ISLAMABAD: Special Court directed to itself decide about procedure for recording General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf's statement under Section 342 of Pakistan Penal Court.
A three-judge bench, headed by Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, heard Lahore High Court Bar Association and others lawyers contempt petitions.
The chief justice held that the trial of Musharraf has to be concluded, adding the accused can’t dictate the court when he would appear before it.
Musharraf’s counsel Safdar Salman pleaded that his client statement under Section 342 of PPC can't be recorded on Skype as this is volative of law.
The Special Court will resume its proceeding against Pervez Musharraf under Article 6 of Constitution on 28th March.
