KARACHI: Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on Friday said that Karachi's glory had returned as the city was hosting one after another festivals and events and its credit went to law enforcement agencies especially the Pakistan Rangers Sindh.

Addressing as a chief guest at Karachi Port Trust (KPT) Water Sports Festival at Oyster Rocks here, he said that Karachi had again become that city, which was called the City of Lights and City that never slept in 1970s.

He said that the country would progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The prime minister was taking keen interest to boost tourism in the country.

The governor said that overseas Pakistanis should invest in the country as it was the right time. "Pakistan's future is bright," he said.

Imran Ismail appreciated the team of KPT for organizing the water sports festival.

Earlier, in his welcome address KPT Chairman Rear Admiral Jamil Akhtar said that the festival was a gift for people of Karachi on the occasion of Pakistan Day. He said the city had beautiful coastline, which was not being utilized.

KPT chairman said that the event would become the regular feature in the city. On the occasion, he also highlighted some projects of KPT.

The officers, employees of KPT and a large number of people belonging to different walks of life were present.

The festival started on Friday would continue till March 24th.
