Scores of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) workers were arrested by the police on Wednesday from outside National Accountability Bureau's (NAB) headquarters in Islamabad ahead of the arrival of their party chairman Bilawal Bhutto and co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.

The PPP leaders were brought to the NAB office amid high security. A huge crowd of party supporters gathered outside the NAB's main office ahead of their leaders' arrival. In order to bar the supporters from entering the premises, the police took some of the workers into custody.

NAB had summoned the duo in connection with a case of illegal transfer of forest land with the Park Lane Estate case. The father-son duo jointly owns the Park Lane Estate company, which is a Karachi-based real estate firm.

PPP Senator Saeed Ghani was among the supporters who were not allowed to go inside the NAB office.
