LAHORE: Senator-elect Barrister Chaudhry Aitzaz Ehsan said on Friday that Senate election would strengthen democratic system in the country.
Talking to the media at the Punjab Assembly here today, he said the PPP would accept results of Senate election.
He said the PPP was a popular party of the country which had deep roots among people of all provinces and Azad Kashmir besides Gilgit Baltistan.
He said general elections would be held in start of 2013.
He said defection cluse 63-A was not applicable on candidates contesting Senate election because balloting was secret and difficult to judge who cast vote for whom?
