london-stockLONDON: Europe's major stock markets drifted lower at the start of trading on Thursday.

London's benchmark FTSE 100 index of leading shares dipped 0.15 percent to 5,862.57, Frankfurt's DAX 30 reversed 0.35 percent to 6,831.97 points and in Paris the CAC 40 fell 0.23 percent to 3,444.53.
