The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Punjab has condemned arrest of former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, saying consecutive arrests of opposition leaders suggest that the country is heading towards dictatorship. Secretary Information PPP Punjab Syed Hassan Murtaza said the political workers are being defamed through allegations of corruption in order to offend general public from politics. These arrests are not for the sake of accountability but for the sake of vendetta, he added.
