MCC Quetta (Preventive) and MCC Hyderabad jointly initiated crackdown against illegal patrol pumps at Jaffarabad-Jaccoabad highway and recovered 75,000 liters of foreign origin illegal diesels. Eight pumps were dismantled. The owners of the pumps along with groups of people gathered and created hurdles before Customs.
Tyres were burnt, highway was blocked, stone were pelted on Customs staff. FIR was lodged against the owners of these illegal pumps owners. These so called petrol pumps provide low quality diesel/patrols of foreign origin (smuggled one) which is disastrous not even for the masses but also for those vehicles consuming it. Chief Collector Balochistan Customs Dr Zulfiqar Ali Chudhry received credible information about the smuggling of illegal diesels and functioning illegal pump in the main highway of Jaffarabad- Hyderabad.-PR
