Prime Minister Imran Khan has summoned a party meeting on Monday to discuss the current political scenario of the country.

According to local media reports, the premier has called the party to discuss the upcoming verdict by the accountability court regarding corruption references against deposed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The party meeting will take place at the at the Prime Minister office at 3 pm. The premier will likely issue his directives and future strategy to his party members.

The accountability court is set to announce its verdict anytime today against Sharif. The National Accountability Bureau had filed three corruption cases against the Sharif family. In the Avenfield case, the court has already convicted Nawaz, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (retd) Safdar.

In the two remaining reference, Al-Azizia and Flagship references, Nawaz will be awarded 14 years imprisonment and a fine if the court announces verdict against Nawaz. The Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz has decided that it will take legal action against the accountability court's verdict.
