On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,490. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at USD 6.314 billion and the number of lots traded was 11,017.
Major business was contributed by WTI crude oil amounting to PKR 2.844 billion, followed by gold PKR 1.020 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 873.817 million, NSDQ100 PKR 682.357 million, platinum PKR 258.650 million, copper PKR 207.151 million, DJ PKR 152.917 million, SP500 PKR 124.460 million, silver PKR 101.751 million, natural gas PKR 30.748 million and Brent crude oil PKR 17.972 million.
In agriculture, 11 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 5.735 million were traded.
