Engro Corp declares 20pc dividend, 30pc bonus

KARACHI: Engro Corporation Ltd has posted a record profit after tax of Rs 7.811 billion for the year ending December 31, 2011 and declared a final cash dividend of Rs 2 per share and 30 percent bonus share.

According to the financial results of the company despatched to Karachi Stock Exchange here Thursday, the pre-tax profit surged to Rs 11.459 billion compared to Rs 8.277 billion in the corresponding period last year.

The earning per share also climbed to Rs 20.50 during the period under review as against Rs 17.27 in 2010.
